Boggsville PA
I woke up this morning feeling about as lousy as I had the night before, but still not convinced I was sick. My head was stuffy from allergies, but I didn’t feel crappy enough to call myself sick. So, off we all went to Lori’s surprise birthday party.
It was great to see all our kayaking and camping friends again. Tammy, who owns a real RV (engine on-board) was there. So were Michelle and (the other) Lori, who have finally moved in together. (Good that you took your time – we’re so happy for you!) Kathy and Linda had all the decorations ready for us to put up. Pat and Colleen were there, too. It was great to talk with Pat about her travels out west and her travel plans for this year. There were several people whom we’d never met –that’s what we get for pulling up stakes and leaving town. And, of course, Lori and Beth. We had a great time. Lori was so surprised. I’ve never seen her laugh and cry at the same time!
After the party, Lori and Beth came over to Boggsville and we played Hand and Foot with three teams. That was weird! Naturally, we all expected Beth and Lori to win – they are the masters of this particular game. But for some unknown reason, Linda and I kicked butt. When the gang sent out for pizza, and all I wanted was tea, I knew I was sick. Hell fire and damnation. Not only had I ruined our road trip, but I’d exposed my friends to illness.
